We are very sad to announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Evelyn Ann Hruzek of Sealy, Texas on December 8, 2022, at the age of 89. She was an amazing person who was an inspiration to all who knew her and loved her. Evelyn was born on July 2, 1933, in Hallettsville, Texas to Joe and Pauline Mozisek Janca. She married Raymond Robert Hruzek on February 23, 1954, at St. Mary’s in Hallettsville, Texas. She was an outstanding and dedicated mother who lovingly raised her five children. After the passing of her husband, Raymond; Evelyn forged ahead, centered by her strong work ethic and an unwavering faith in God. She is survived by the luckiest family in the world including Daughter- in-law Christine Hruzek of Eagle Lake, Janice Raska (Tim) of Wallis, Douglas Hruzek (Peggy) of Rosenberg, Richard Hruzek (Rita) of Wallis and Kristie Cruz (Bobby) of Bellville.

Her grandchildren include Dustin Hruzek of Eagle Lake, Jonathan Hruzek (Kristy) of Eagle Lake, Tyler Raska (Staci) of East Bernard, Jordan Boenisch (Brett) of Wharton, Hayden Hruzek of Houston, Grant Hruzek of Rosenberg, Taryn Taylor (Zachary) of Stuart, Florida, Keaton Hruzek of Rockport, and Logan Cruz of Bellville.

Her great grandchildren include Cooper and Presley Claxton of East Bernard, Blake, Kase and Sloan Boenisch of Wharton, Victoria Huk and Alexandra O’Donnell of Calgary, Alberta Canada. She is also survived by sister, Margaret Henneke and brother, Julius Janca both of Hallettsville.

She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Hruzek, son Michael Hruzek, her parents Joe and Pauline Mozisek Janca, and her brothers Leon, Joe, Jerome and James (Jake) Janca.

Visitation will be held at the Knesek Funeral Home in Sealy on Wednesday, December 14th at 5pm, followed by the Rosary at 7pm.

Funeral services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Sealy on Thursday, December 15th at 12 pm. Interment will follow at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Sealy.

Pallbearers will include Dustin Hruzek, Tyler Raska, Hayden Hruzek, Grant Hruzek, Keaton Hruzek, Logan Cruz, Zachary Taylor and Brett Boenisch. Honorary pallbearers are her seven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Sealy, Texas in her honor.

Our family would like to thank all of you for your love, support, thoughts and prayers during mom’s illness. We also express our special appreciation to Fort Bend Healthcare Center of Rosenberg for the loving care and attention they provided mom.
