Billie George Cannon “Georgie”, was called home to our Lord on July 19, 2022, in her home.

Georgie was born on October 13, 1940, in Houston, Texas, to father William Cannon and mother Lucille Cannon. She was preceded in death by both her parents. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Eljean Chandler, brother-in-law Rod Chandler and Paul Cannon.

She grew up in Houston, Texas, and attended Milby High School. Georgie worked in the oil and gas industry for many years. Georgie soon moved in with her parents around 198, in Cat Spring, TX, where she lived out the rest of her days.

Georgie was one of a kind. She was most proud of all her nieces and nephews along with her great nieces and nephews. Georgie lived a full life. Georgie hosted Tuesday night bible studies in her home for many years before becoming a member of Sheperd’s Way Church. She was very much involved in the church for many years. You could always count on her painting faces during Vacation Bible School or teaching Sunday School class to the children. Georgie was so full of life and was an outstanding artist. You could find her picking dewberries, bringing home injured animals to take care of, playing games of all sorts, especially playing or teaching how to play Canasta, Skip Bo and even Texas Hold’em. Georgie also had the biggest love of “anything” chocolate!! She had a huge soft spot for all her animals. She was also a woman of faith and loved her church family dearly.

Georgie was such a free spirit. She is also known for her crazy tales she would share just to put a smile on someone’s face. Georgie was such a kind spirit and would do anything for anyone.

She is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whome she loved dearly.

Memorial Services for Georgie will be held at Sheperd’s Way Chruch 1225 Eagle Lake Rd Sealy, Texas, Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 at 11:00 am.
