Two Texas residents were arrested in connection to methamphetamine trafficking after an investigation led officers to their residences Thursday morning, according to a statement from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) Feb. 10.

The Austin County-led Westside Narcotics Task Force executed a search and arrest warrant in Weimar Thursday morning following a several-month-long investigation concerning methamphetamine trafficking, the ACSO release said.

Amos Stancik, 29, was arrested by the Austin County Special Response Team at approximately 6 a.m. Thursday for conspiracy and possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine stated the release which explained the charges were the result of a federal grand jury indictment.

“Investigators discovered numerous weapons including assault rifles and suspected silencers, as well as a small amount of marijuana,” said the ACSO release of Stancik’s arrest. “(Stancik) was eventually transported by Federal agents to the Federal Courthouse in Houston for arraignment.”

The ACSO statement also mentioned Zachary Wisnoskie, 20, who was also arrested Thursday related to the investigation at his residence on Stokes Road in Fayetteville. Investigators and members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force arrested Wisnoskie for conspiracy and possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to the press release.

Wisnoskie was also transported to the Federal Courthouse in Houston, the sheriff’s office’s statement said.

“This investigation was conducted jointly with the Westside Narcotics Task Force, the Colorado County District Attorney’s offices, as well as the Colorado County Sheriff’s department,” read the Thursday morning press release.
