Faith Academy hosts book parade

National Junior Honor Society NJHS students led the book parade with an “I Love Reading” Banner, chanting, “R-E-A-D-I-N-G, Reading is fun for you and me!” The Faith Academy students included the toddler classes all the way through fifth grade and paraded through the hallways of EEC, FALCON, Elementary, junior high and high school buildings. The parade ended at the gym, where the NJHS students presented a skit with Mrs.

Knights are state bound

After a 40-30 win over San Antonio Jubilee at home in the state semifinal, the Faith Academy Knights punched their ticket to the Texas Association of Independent Athletic Organizations’ (TAIAO) State Championship against the Northside Lions Saturday, Nov. 27, at Bryan Allen Academy with kickoff set for noon.

Lady Tigers notch first win

The Sealy Lady Tiger basketball squad picked up its first win of the regular season last Tuesday on the road in West Columbia before it competed in a tournament in Ganado over the weekend. Sealy was scheduled for one more non-district tilt against Spring Woods earlier this week before having a week off for Thanksgiving.

The China Spring Cougars stymied the Sealy Tigers early and often and rolled to a 48-7 win in the Area Championship at Waco ISD Stadium Friday night to eliminate Sealy for the second straight season. The Tigers served as the visitors at the neutral site and although both teams traded three-and-outs on their first drives, Tristan Exline pulled down an interception on the third play of Sealy’s second drive and Kyle Barton cashed in on the other end to open the scoring.
