Donna Gale Brenner passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 21, and went to her heavenly home to be with her beloved Jesus.

Donna was born December 5, 1946, in Waxahachie, TX to Mary and L.D. Armstrong. She graduated from South Houston High School in 1964. She worked for Texberry Containers, Solus Ocean Systems, Oceaneering and Brenner Electrical Sales in various administrative roles.

In 1985, Donna married the love of her life, Curtis Brenner. Together they merged two families and loved them well. A resident of Sealy for almost 50 years, she raised her family and loved her community. She was a founding member of Shepherd’s Way Church in Sealy where she was very active. Her faith guided her daily. Donna loved her family, her friends and her country. She had a passion for politics and helped campaign for local and national races. She loved to go dancing and ride her horses. She especially enjoyed attending the many county events associated with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

She was preceded in death by her father, L.D. Armstrong, son-in-law, Danny Collins and brother-in-law, Jack Lettieri.

Donna endured a long battle with dementia. She was able to remain in the home she loved due to her devoted husband and extraordinary caregivers Mary Cunningham and Martha Bagley. A special note of thanks to 1st Texas Home Health, especially Nora Sosa. Additionally, to Allumine Home Health and Hospice for their tender end of life compassion and care.

Donna was a spark of light, an incredible social butterfly who never met a stranger and always had a word of wisdom or encouragement to share.
