Adela Marie Dubec Hundl was called to be with our Lord on August 11, 2022. Adela was born on August 22, 1928, to Frances and Joseph Dubec in Plum, Texas. She attended Frydek Catholic School. She married Emil James Hundl on November 7, 1953, in Needville, Tx. Adela was a housewife when the children were young and in later years had various jobs. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frydek. A woman of great faith and a kind loving heart. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. She was a hard worker with a strong will and determination in everything she did. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, raising cattle, canning vegetables, baking, and spending time with her family. She could make the most delicious kolaches. She spoke fluent Czech, which was her first language.

Adela had 11 children, seven girls and four boys. She is survived by her children; Margaret Hundl, James Hundl, Michael Hundl, Evelyn (Mark) Neelley, Elizabeth (Bill) Matthews, Delores (Paul) Murray, Mary (Andy) Ruesewald, Cynthia (Britt) Donohue, Patricia (Mike) Ray, Emil Hundl.

She is survived by 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; sister, Frances Janca; and brother Emil Dubec; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Hundl; grandsons David Toellner and Daniel (Danny) Hundl, Jr.; and the father of her eleven children, Emil Hundl.

She is also preceded in death by her siblings; Joseph Dubec, Frank Dubec, Martha Drabek, Agnes McConnell, and Jerry Dubec.
