April 1-3, the Faith Academy of Bellville junior class embarked on their great adventure.

Friday saw them deep in the bowels of Kickapoo Caverns in Brackettville, Texas on a two-and-a-half-hour wild cave tour. There is no electricity and no handrails. The students are required to have two sources of light. The cave was enjoyed by all!

Our next stop was to the Byler Ranch in Uvalde, Texas where we were treated to rides on the top drives, a star party, an archeological dig, fishing, and even an opportunity to see the International Space Station as it flew across the sky. Our Saturday evening ended with a time of praise and reflection in The Garden.

Sunday morning, we were up for an early pancake breakfast and on our way to the San Antonio Zoo with our docent, Mr. Ken Gerhardt. Ken graciously gives us his time amidst his busy schedule between speaking engagements and filming TV shows like MonsterQuest, Missing in Alaska, and The Proof is Out There to name a few.
