The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Queen of Angels, had a second fundraiser June 4. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the court wasn’t able to have their bake sales with the KC’s Lenten Fish Fries.

At the May meeting, the Court voted that if proceeds from the Chicken Fried Steak Dinner catered by Ben’s Chuckwagon would be enough, a third scholarship would be awarded. This year, three deserving students applied but the budget only allowed for two scholarships.

The Chicken Fried Steak Dinner was a huge success because of all the support from the community, members, family and friends and the Court was able to give that third scholarship.
