The Brazos Cougars cross country team competed in the Region III Preview Cross Country Meet on Saturday in Huntsville. In the 1A-4A Varsity Girls race, Stephaniah Phillips placed 73rd, Lily Bertrand finished 84th , and Hannah Gonzalez was 129th.

The Faith Academy Knights travelled to Taylor to take on St. Mary’s Catholic, Friday night at 7 p.m.

After being tested by Kountze at home, the Brazos Cougars will now head to the road for three straight games including their final two non-district contests. Brazos will open their road trip with a contest with Louise this Friday.

After battling to a 0-0 first quarter, the Brazos Cougars awoke their offense and rallied for a 30-14 win over Kountze to move to 2-0 on the season. “We had some adversity to handle throughout this game and we were able to handle it,” said Brazos Head Football Coach Ryan Roecker.

The Bellville Booster Club XC Meet was held Saturday, Sept. 2 at the Bellville Golf Course.
