The Sealy Lady Tigers opened up district play last Friday with a 16-3 home victory over Wharton. The victory moved Sealy to 8-6 overall and 1-0 in district play.
Sealy boys soccer appear to be peaking at right time of year Fresh off a week where the Sealy boys posted a 2-1 record in three district games, the Tigers now sit firmly in third place in District 20-4A with two games left in the season. Sealy opened the week with a big 2-0 win over Bellville.
CONTRIBUTED REPORT Brazos Little League is pleased to be launching its sponsorship efforts for the 2023 season. Brazos Little League is a 100% volunteer community-based organization that brings the diamond sports of baseball and softball to families in Wallis, Simonton, Orchard, Fulshear area.
Sealy will be sending seven boys’ powerlifters to the Regional Powerlifting Meet. The meet is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8 at West Harden High School.
Last weekend, the Brazos girls’ powerlifting team of 13 girls competed at the THSWPA Region 2 3A Division 2 Regional Powerlifting meet. The team placed second overall as a team.
Sealy Lady Tigers soccer take aim at finishing strong With the first round of district play behind them, the Sealy Lady Tigers are sitting firmly in second place in district with a 3-1 record but they have their eyes set on that firstplace finish. While the team has played well at times this year, Sealy Head Girls Soccer Coach Sydney Jones knows her Lady Tigers can play at a higher level and need to start getting their play going as district nears a close and playoffs loom ahead.
With three games set for this week, the Sealy Tigers are ready to make a move in District 20-4A boys soccer race. Sealy Head Boys Soccer Coach Joshua Kirton believes his Tigers are ready to improve on their play in the first half of district and need to start doing that this week.
The varsity boys of Faith Academy took out to Round Rock Sports Complex to take play in the TAIAO State Tournament. Losing key players throughout the year, the Knights stepped up to play their guts out for a great showing for the tournament.
The Lady Knights of Faith Academy travelled to Round Rock to compete at the TAIAO State Basketball tournament on Feb. 16-17 to end their season. The Lady Knights were led by Faith Academy Head Girls Basketball Coach Joe Riley and fought hard on day one with two victories in two come from behind fashions.
