Baseball season has begun and the Faith Academy Knights kicked off the season with three games in its first week of games. After just one practice on Monday, the Knights went 1-2 on the week.

The entire Brazos girls powerlifting team has qualified for the regional meet this Saturday in Dublin. The Region 2 3A Small School Regional Powerlifting meet will qualify participants for places at the state meet.
Future looks bright for Lady Tigers basketball

For Brateicka Mock, this year was a season that featured a lot of learning and trusting in the program. Mock was in her first year at the helm of the Sealy girls’ varsity basketball program this year and directed the team to the playoffs and a first-round win as well.
Sealy claims bi-district title for first time in five years

As the Sealy Lady Tigers walked off the basketball court in Yoakum Thursday night, the season had just ended but this year was a major success for the program. Sealy opened the “third season” known as the playoffs and this time advanced to the area round of the playoffs for the first time in the last five seasons.
Freshman livestock judging team grabs first place at Dixie National

Blinn College’s freshman livestock judging team dominated the Dixie National Collegiate Beef Judging Contest, winning the overall title by 70 points and placing five individuals in the top 10 in that division.
Boling outlasts Brazos 52-47 in double OT

In a battle for the fourth and final playoff berth out of District 24-3A, Boling outlasted Brazos 52-47 in double overtime to punch its ticket for the playoffs and eliminate the Cougars from the playoff chase in a contest played in East Bernard.
Sealy boys split pair

The Sealy boys soccer squad split a pair of district contests this past week to open up its district season. After opening with a 5-0 win over the Harmony School of Discovery, Sealy came back and finished with a 1-1 tie with Bellville.

Sealy girls soccer looks to rebound this week at home It may not have been the ideal way to start the season but it might have been just the spark the Sealy Lady Tigers need to get the district season moving in the right direction. After a long layoff, Sealy opened up district play last Friday with a loss to Bellville as the Lady Brahmas held on for the win with a 2-1 shootout victory over Sealy.
