Blinn College freshman Tanner Reaves’ outstanding season has been certified with a selection as an NJCAA Division I first-team All-American. Reaves, an infielder from Bonham, Texas, excelled during an outstanding season of Buccaneer baseball.
The Blinn College District has named 178 student-athletes to the spring 2023 Don Wilhelm Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. To be eligible, student-athletes must post a 3.0 or better grade point average (GPA) and pass a minimum of 12 college-level credit hours.

Sealy Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Shane Mobley resigned his post with the district to accept an athletic director’s position with Peaster ISD.
Bellville Little League will install new lights at its main baseball field, thanks to a $50,000 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority and city of Bellville. The Community Development Partnership Program grant, along with $31,950 in matching funds from the league, will enable the league to replace an outdated and unsafe lighting system with new steel poles and LED lights.
