With a win over LaGrange on Tuesday night on the road, the Sealy Lady Tigers could head into District 25-4A play this Friday riding a possible four winning streak. Sealy traveled to take on LaGrange Tuesday, but the results were not available at press time.

Sealy seniors Daniel Barrera and Monica Rodriguez were named Sealy’s Homecoming King and Queen during halftime ceremonies of the Tigers’ victory over Smithville. Sealy seniors enjoyed a Senior Sunrise event the morning of the homecoming contest where seniors had the chance to gather in a parking lot at the high school to make new memories of their senior years.

The Sealy boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams continued their strong start to the 2023 season by collecting a first-place finish at the El Campo meet Aug. 23. Both squads finished way ahead of their second-place competitors at the meet.

There is nothing like a Friday night football game at home. This week, the Sealy Tigers will host Smithville in a non-district affair at T.J.

The tournament season is over for Sealy and the Lady Tigers are sporting a strong 20-7 record. This past weekend, Sealy participated in the LCISD Battle of the Brazos Tournament and came away with a 4-2 record at the tourney.

On Aug. 22, the Faith Academy Lady Knights played host to Allen Academy Lady Rams.
