Sealy takes second, third at FNL meet

The Sealy girls placed second while the boys’ team took home third in the Frio Friday Night Light meet last Friday held at Sealy High School. This highly heralded meet has grown by leaps and bounds since its inception and this year featured more than 980 participants from 36 schools attending the meet.
Sealy XC takes top finishes at Altair Meet

Sealy’s cross county harriers traveled to Rice to participate in the Altair Meet Saturday with the Sealy girls team bringing home a second-place finish and the boys team capturing a first-place finish at the meet.

Coming into last week’s scrimmage with Bellaire Episcopal, Sealy Head Football Coach Clint Finley said he just wanted to see his Tigers come out and play with confidence and not worry about making any mistakes. “I just want the kids to get out there and compete against Episcopal and play with confidence,” Finley said.
Blinn receives USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award

The Buccaneers posted a 3.52 team grade point average in 2022-23 The Blinn College volleyball team has been named a recipient of the 2023 United States Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award.
Knights football swings into scrimmage action

The Faith Academy Knights held their first scrimmage of the young football season at SAB Stadium, Friday night in front of a packed house. The Knights welcomed Spring Founders (TAPPS) and Second Baptist University Model (TAPPS), in a three-team switchoff style scrimmage. A few minor mistakes here and there with the blocking but they moved the ball all night and outscored both teams by a combined 11 touchdowns.
Lady Knights kick off season with 2-1 record

Faith Academy Lady Knights took care of Briarwood High School in 3 straights sets in the season opener on the road Aug. 7.
BUILDING A TEAM

This past week, Sealy Head Volleyball Coach Caroline Owen had a great opportunity to see where her Lady Tigers are at as the team participated in the Columbus Tournament Aug. 10-12.
Boys of Fall
Body
The Sealy boys of fall will have one more tune-up game this week in their final scrimmages of the year before the start of the 2023 season. Sealy will travel to Columbus to take on the Cardinals in its final scrimmage for the upcoming season.
