It’s no secret people under a certain age (I’m going to put it as high as 50) throw around the word “like” as if they lived in mid-1980’s Beverly Hills. “Like” gets used as much as the word “the,” functioning as the filler word of many non-Californians’ daily lingo.
Every legislative session, the Texas Legislature considers a variety of topics. Over the next few months, I will break down the 87th Legislative Session into segments and provide a summary of each segment so you may get a better understanding of what we accomplished.
A cousin of mine reportedly said, “I can’t imagine living in a house where other people have lived!” I don’t know if she really said this, as I heard the story secondhand. My wife and I are in a stage of parenting where we can’t get away with spelling words aloud around the kids anymore. Our son is a great reader and can sniff out a secret-parent-spelling code faster than you can spell i-c-e c-r-e-a-m.
