It is getting close to County Fair Season in the Greater Brazos Valley area and the Austin County Fair started their season with their annual Shrimp Boil this past Friday, July 22nd at the Austin County Fair Exposition and Convention Center.

The Austin County Fair has released its activity schedule and entertainment line-up for this year. The Wallis City Council is considering adding a splash pad to Mynarik Park rather than moving forward with the parking lot addition project they have been working towards recently. Based on the massive turnout for the city’s annual Fourth of July Celebration this year the councilmembers were mostly in agreement that the size of parking lot they were planning to have constructed would not suffice for the needs of that event anyways.

Effective July 1, 2022, Memorial Hermann’s entire orthopedics and sports medicine service line has been rebranded as Memorial Hermann-Rockets Orthopedics. HOUSTON — Following the MLB All-Star break, the Houston Astros hosted a doubleheader against the New York Yankees, who sit atop of the league's standings, in Game 2 with a 7-5 win.  

Designated hitter and American League all-star, Yordan Alvarez, was activated from the injured list after missing the final seven games before the break due to a hand injury and couldn’t have been back at a better time.
