In a meeting that was facilitated by a hallway meeting between community activist Quanell X and Austin County District Attorney Travis Koehn, a group of local leaders met with Koehn to discuss the reasonings behind no charges being filed in connection with the Jan. 15 incident at Lindermann’s.
“After reviewing the video and audio, we have to be straight. I received numerous calls all this week, and some of the people in our community believe we were misled because we had not seen the entire video,” said Rev. J.R. Johnson of the Seeking Justice organization.
The heavy winds associated with the arrival of a cold front Thursday evening left the fencing around T.J. Mills Stadium damaged.
The fencing, which now has new privacy slats installed, was taken down by the force of the winds sometime Thursday evening.
