The Sealy Lady Tiger soccer squad opens play within District 20-4A Friday evening against the Hempstead Bobcats on Mark A. Chapman Field at T.J. Mills Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m.
The Sealy Tiger soccer team will play its first District 20-4A match Friday against the Hempstead Bobcats on Mark A. Chapman Field at T.J. Mills Stadium searching for its first win of the season. Sealy has started the regular season on an 0-5-1 clip where it was shut out in all five losses following a season-opening draw.

The Sealy Lady Tiger basketball team competed in the Weimar tournament to close its winter break action Dec. 28-30, 2021 and came away with a second-place finish where seniors Evelyn Harrington and Julia Jurecka were named to the all-tournament team.
The Sealy Tiger basketball team split its tournament action in Schulenburg last week then met with the Shorthorns at home for a non-district game Dec. 30, 2021, and earned a 67-57 win to move to 9-8 overall with two non-district contests remaining.
The Sealy Tiger soccer team is set to open its regular season this weekend in Giddings at a tournament with first-year head coach Joshua Kirton at the helm. Kirton is in his second year of coaching at Sealy High School and assisted on the sidelines intermittently last year where the Tigers embarked on their longest postseason run in program history.
For the most part, the 2021 sports seasons were a refreshing change from the year prior where cancellations and postponements flooded the schedules at the onset of the pandemic. Although things are still not where they were pre-pandemic, this past year of Austin County’s high school sports seemed to start giving everyone a sense of normalcy again.
The Sealy Tiger soccer team lost a 2-0 lead over the Splendora Wildcats within 4:13 in the final minutes of regulation and was eliminated in the regional semifinals in its first fourthround appearance in program history by a 3-2 score April 6 at Cy Park High School.
