Representing Sealy, Texas, and surrounding Austin County, The Sealy News has been in publication since 1887 as, "A newspaper devoted to local news all the time." The Sealy News collection has been made accessible through a Tocker Foundation grant awarded to the Virgil and Josephine Gordon Memorial Library.

DEADLINES
The deadline for all submissions is Friday at 3 p.m. for the next week’s paper.
- Ad Display and Editorial are due Fridays at 3 p.m.
- Class/word is due Monday at noon
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
The Sealy News publishes letters to the editor on most topics. Send your letters to jimmy.galvan@sealynews.com by Friday at 3 p.m. for the Thursday edition. Written letters should be signed and include the writer’s full address and phone number. Letters to the editor should be as brief as possible and no more than 300 words. We reserve the right to edit all letters. Anonymous letters will not be published.
EDITORIAL REQUIREMENTS
All announcements – weddings, anniversaries, engagements, newborns, birthdays and obituaries – are run for a $75 flat rate. A $10 fee will be charged for affidavits produced by the newspaper.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
The Sealy News is published weekly on Thursday. Subscriptions in Austin County are $50 per year; outside of Austin County in Texas, $60; outside Texas, $78 per year. Notices of change of address should be mailed to The Sealy News, P.O. Box 480, Sealy, TX 77474-0480
