Youth wins Horse Club scholarship

Every year the Waller County 4-H Horse Club looks to award one of its members a college scholarship. The scholarship committee evaluates each applicant based on academic achievement, leadership, awards, community involvement, character, and 4-H competition achievement. This year, the Waller County 4-H Horse Club awarded Adam McFarlane a $3,000 college scholarship. Adam McFarlane has been a part of the Waller County 4-H Horse Club for 10 years. He has completed and turned in eight 4-H record books. He graduated from high school in May and will be finishing his associate’s degree at Lone Star Community College this fall. He will then transfer to the University of Houston in spring 2018.
