Funeral services for Vance Twardowski, 94, of Sealy, are set for Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at 10 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church,
600 Fourth St., Sealy, Texas 77474 with the Rev. Eric Pitre celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal.
Visitation at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church will be Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, from 8:30 am until 9:30 am. Rosary is at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Guardian Angel Cemetery in Wallis.
Vence (Vance) John Twardowski was born on Sept. 26, 1922, to parents John J. and Rosie Kopycinski Twardowski in Tavener, Texas.
Vance was raised in Wallis, Texas and attended school at the Guardian Angel Catholic School in Wallis. He married Miss Albina Luchak in Wharton on January 11, 1960 and he worked as a fork lift operator for Cameron Iron where he retired from. Vance was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy, Knights of Columbus 4th and 3rd Degree in Wallis, and owned the Hill Top Café in Wallis for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Albina Twardowski of Sealy, daughter, Sharon Twardowski of Grand Prarie, son, Tim Twardowski and wife Melissa of Mansfield, sisters, Veronica Tupa and husband Willie of Sealy, Vicky Baca of Taylor, Gertrude Allen of Pasadena, brother, Mike Twardowski of Sealy and grandchild, Hannah Kae Twardowski. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Rosie Twardowski, sister, Monica Kovar and Teresa Twardowski, brothers, Steve, Emil, Victor, Bernard, Johnny and Felix Twardowski.
