Dear Sealy News,
Thank you very much for your donation of the two one-year subscriptions to our annual Prevent Unwanted Pets (PUPS) fundraiser on May 5, 2018. We greatly appreciate your support. We raised more than $16,000.
PUPS is entering its 15th year. We have helped spay and neuter 13,281 cats and 10,181 dogs for a grand total of 23,462. We “fixed” 244 animals in January, 273 in February and 371 in March. Every penny of donations is used to pay for the spay or neuter bill for people who cannot afford to pay it on their own. We use 28 vet clinics in eight counties west of Houston to do the surgeries.
We do pet adoptions at Petco on South Mason Road in Katy and in Cinco almost every Saturday. The animals for adoption are strays or are pulled out of local animal control facilities. PUPS is not a shelter but we are trying to prevent the euthanasia of as many animals as possible and re-homed more than 1,000 animals in the past two years with our foster home program.
We still know that spaying and neutering can make a big difference so that is our primary goal and where all the money that is donated to PUPS is utilized.
PUPS is a 501©3 foundation. All donations are tax deductible.
