The Sealy YMCA has several ongoing programs as the summer winds down and fall programs starting soon to keep the young and old alike active.
Summer Day Camp swimming for ages 6 to 12 are available for $95 per week at Cryan Park.
Pools Summer Passes are available for $150 for a family and $50 for individuals. The pool is also available for a day rate of $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and kids 16 and under.
The YMCA also offers a Water Fitness course for 12 and over for a fee of $45 per month for unlimited group exercise classes and $25 per month for seniors and students. The course includes aqua zumba and water jogging. Morning and evening classes are available and the fee includes up to 11 classes per week with classes also offered at Liedertaefl Hall and First United Methodist Church. A pool pass is also required to participate in the class.
In the fall, the Sealy YMCA offers an After School Program for kindergarten through fifth grade. Homework assistance will be available along with a healthy snack, arts and crafts, outdoor games and an activity center. The program is provided from school dismissal until 6:30 p.m. at Selman Elementary for a fee of $210 per month and a one-time $35 registration fee.
Tiny Tots soccer for three and four year olds begins on Sept. 25 on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. or 11:20 a.m. with a fee of $60.
The YMCA will have flag football leagues with practice starting Sept. 18 and the season begins on Sept. 30.
The fee for early bird registration before Aug. 21 is $60, regular registration is $80 from Aug. 22 through Sept. 5 and late registration is $100 after Sept. 6 as space allows.
Karate classes are available for ages six through adults on Monday evenings starting on Sept. 11 through Dec. 4 for a $75 fee per session.
Dance classes for ages three through eight are available on Wednesday evenings for a fee of $45 per month and group exercise for ages 12 through adults are Monday through Thursday. The fee for ages 12 through 22 and over 55 is $25 per month and ages 23 through 54 is $45 per month.
