Sealy senior defensive lineman Eric Burns will get the opportunity of a lifetime to play football in Hawaii after accepting an invitation to the Hawaii Tiki Bowl earlier this week.
The Hawaii Tiki Bowl will be played in January 2020 and will serve as another opportunity for rising seniors to showcase their talent in front of college coaches.
The instructors who will be leading the groups of athletes through training before the Jan. 5 game day have a combined 32 years of experience in international sports and recruiting industry according to their website.
Those coaches can serve as the next breeding ground for more coaching connections, possibly leading to an opportunity to play at the next level that wasn't there in the continental United States.
The itinerary lists Jan. 1 being a travel day and practices and events scheduled before Sunday's game and culminating the events on Monday with a travel day back home.
