On Oct. 28 the Sealy Area Historical Society will present the 2017 Ghost Tour in historic downtown Sealy. Tours will begin at 7, 8, 9 and 10 p.m. The tour this year includes sites never on the tour before, including the old rice mill on Front Street and the old fire station on North Fowlkes. The accompanying photo is the rice mill.
Most of the sites on the tour were constructed in the late 1940s, and, thus, the spirits will tell us about life in the 1940s. Soldiers had just returned from World II when these buildings were constructed. There was a renewed excitement about the future. Many commercial and residential buildings were constructed in the decade following World War II. Come join us for an interesting and educational evening.
Also on hand will be psychic Diane Gremmel and paranormal investigator Peter Haviland. Both Gremmel and Haviland are highly experienced professionals in their fields. Tickets should be purchased in advance to guarantee a place on a tour. Tickets may be purchased at the Gordon Memorial Library or online at sealyhistoricalsociety.org.
