Sealy FFA member traveled west to the Colorado County fairgrounds Sept. 8 to compete in the livestock judging contest. Sealy entered 16 juniors in the event. Emily Askew was first high point individual junior earning a buckle while leading her team to a third place finish. She was joined by Rylan Reichardt in 11th place, Grayson Oliver and Kenna Schram. The team led by Ansley Owen followed by Leandra Ross, Ainsley Oliver, and Tracer Kruzel posted an 11th place finish. Other juniors enjoying a solid day and many competing for the first time included Ryleigh Gilfoil, Avery Schalla, Nicholas Mcdaniel, Alana Lindsey, Eryn Kruzel, Avery Henderson and Bryce Stafford.
In the senior division against 250 individuals and 70 teams, Sealy Senior team came out with a bang and brought home a first place finish. Avery Oliver was second high individual followed by Meghan Hein in 3rd. These two high points were joined on the team with John Owen placing 26th and Rhys Reichardt along with Jordyn Davila and Kortlynn Brantner. Congratulations to Sealy FFA on their first win of the year.
