Rebecca Morone a shooting star at Texas Premier Sporting Arms

National Women in Business Month

Rebecca is a 2007 graduate from Texas A&M University and lives in Katy with her husband, Ryan, and Labradoodle, Charlie.

She is a first-generation Aggie. Rebecca’s degree is in communications with a minor in business, and she is skillful in non-profit development and event planning. She also spent a year in New York assisting with the launch of a new bridal line for Kate Spade.

Her sporting clays facility, located in Sealy, celebrated its fourth anniversary this past August. Her passion is working with charities on fundraising events and often incorporates philanthropic activities into her regularly scheduled shoots.

The gun club was originally the dream of Rebecca’s father. As that vision became Rebecca’s as well, she researched other successful businesses, used her marketing skills to gain new customers and has become very innovative in trying to make Texas Premier more than just a gun club.

She has chaired the Klays for K9’s Sporting Clay Tournament which benefits K9 officers, an organization dedicated to providing local law enforcement agencies a trained K9. Other innovative ideas Rebecca has introduced include a tournament for Sealy FFA Booster Club where money earned went back to the club; Champagne and Clays and Shoot and Shop – an event to encourage more women to come out and participate in shooting sports.

The gun club has both female and male shotgun instructors on call. The facility also offers license to carry classes by certified instructor Kami Krause. During the four years that it has been opened, Texas Premier Sporting Arms has doubled their membership and increased the number of charity shoots and corporate entertainment events.

Texas Premier is a member of the Sealy, Katy-Fulshear, Bellville and Wallace chambers of commerce. The first Sealy Lions Sporting Clay Tournament and Sealy Chamber Business After-Hours Event will both be coming up in September.

Rebecca believes that Texas Premier Sporting Arms, located on Highway 36, is a facility that can meet the wide range of needs demanded by both the experienced shooter to the first-time recreational athlete. The staff, trained by Rebecca, works with all shooters to ensure that their safety is paramount, and their enjoyment is equally ensured. Whether the customer is there with a friend or with an entire group, Rebecca and Charlie will be there to meet them with a smile!
