Patricia (Patsy) Ann Dzierzanowski


The former Patricia (Patsy) Ann Dzierzanowski was born to parents Anton and Willie Mae Dzierzanowski in Sealy on Sept. 17, 1947. Patsy was raised in Sealy and attended the Immaculate Conception Catholic School through the eighth grade before attending and graduating from Sealy High School. Patsy attended and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. On Aug. 30, 1969, Patsy married Terry Ashorn in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy. Patsy was a teacher with the Sealy Independent School District for 30 years before retiring. Patsy was a member of the American Legion Auxilary, Austin County Retired Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma. Patsy was very active in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church as a member of the Catholic Daughters, Altar Society, Eucharistic Minister and volunteer with the Ministerial Alliance. Patsy died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at her home in the country.

Funeral Services, Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 at 10 a.m. Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 600 Fourth St., Sealy, Texas. Rev. Eric Pitre celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal.

Visitation at Knesek Hwy 36 Chapel,1140 Meyer St., Sealy, TX, Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wake Service and Rosary at 7:00 pm. Interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Sealy.

Pallbearers were Keith Dzierzanowski, Chris, Chase and Matthew Ashorn, Roger Dees and Matt Roberts.

Survivors include: her husband, Terry Ashorn of Sealy; son, Troy Ashorn and wife Cristina of Brenham; son, Todd Ashorn and wife Angela of Bellville; daughter, Tiffany Emshoff and husband Mark of Bellville; grandchildren, Draven Ashorn Hejl, Brayden Ashorn, Patricia Ashorn, Trace Ashorn, Lane Emshoff, Allie Rosenbaum, Alex Rosenbaum; and brother, James Dzierzanowski and wife Luwayne of Cat Spring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Willie Mae Dzierzanowski, mother and father-in-law, Leroy and Annie Ashorn, and brother-in-law, Leroy Ashorn, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy, American Heart Association or Charity of your choice.
