TSgt Rudolf Horak is a Theater Deplorable Communications Supervisor, 729 Air Control Squadron.
He was born in the former Czechoslovakia. He graduated Sealy High School in 1995 and joined the Air Force on Sept. 6, 1995. After completing Basic Military Training in Lackland AFB, he attended Aircraft Armament Systems Course at Sheppard AFB, Texas. He was assigned to the 4th Fighter Squadron, 388th Fighter Wing, Hill AFB Utah. He was a Weapons Load Crew member on the F-16 Fighting Falcon.
In 2000, he retrained into Cyber Transport AFSC. His first assignment was the 3rd Combat Communications Group, Tinker AFB, where he was stationed from 2000 to 2004. He performed Combat Communications duties, working with Tactical Telephone Switches and later Theater Deplorable Communications. His next assignment was to the 8th Communications Wing, Kunsan AB, Republic of Korea. He served as a Telephone Maintenance Technician.
In 2005, he got assigned to the 75th Communications Squadron, 75 Air Base Wing, Hill AFB, Utah. He performed interior and exterior Telephone Maintenance as well as workstation and server work. In March 2012, he was re-assigned to 729 Air Control Squadron at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. He was first assigned to Digital Systems and later became a member of the Theater Deplorable Communications.
He plans to stay in Utah until the end of the year. Then in January 2016 he plans to attend Lake Regional College in North Dakota and major in Flight Simulator Maintenance.
