Marvin J. Semora of Sealy passed away Aug. 5, 2017. He was born Dec. 23, 1926.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ella Mae, his parents Francis Oscar and Lillie Lorene Moore Samora and eight brothers and sisters Gertrude Matecek; Noah Samora; Bernice Semora; Lewis Semora; Letha Henneke; Irene Seitz; Molly Nolen; and Vera Obenhaus.
He is survived by his sister Melba Beverlin of Austin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marvin served in the U.S. Army during World War II in both the Pacific and European theatres. He served during the Korean conflict in the U.S. Navy.
Marvin never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank his friends Robert and Maria Denney of Sealy and the staff of Memorial Hermann Katy and Trucare Living in Columbus.
Private graveside services were held at the Eagle Lake Texas Lakeside Cemetery with Houston Taps bugler to honor his military service.
