Lorease Ann Gajewski

Lorease Ann Gajewski died on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016. She was 72 years old. Lorease was a long time resident of Sealy, Texas for almost 50 years. Lorease was born to Adolph and Regina Henneke on Jan. 23, 1944 in Columbus, Texas. She attended elementary through high school in Columbus. Lorease met her husband, Joe Charlie Gajewski, from Mixville, Texas, and they married at St. Roch Catholic Church in Mentz, Texas on July 1, 1967. They made their lifelong home here in Sealy. Lorease and Joe have two children: Michael Gajewski and his wife, Josie of Sealy and Leanne Parrett and her husband, George of Lakeway, Texas. She was so blessed and proud of her four grandchildren: Morgan and Justin Gajewski of Sealy and Bryant and Cade Parrett of Lakeway, Texas. Lorease was preceded in death by her parents Adolph and Regina Drymalla Henneke, uncle, Edwin Drymalla, and brother, Ruben Henneke, all of Alleyton, Texas and her husband, Joe Gajewski. Also preceding her death was her brother-in-law, Eugene Gajewski and sister-in-law, Clare Stastny.

Lorease and Joe had been married for 45 years until his passing back in May 2013. Lorease passed away very unexpectedly. Her kindness, smile, and generosity will be truly missed by her children, grandchildren, extended family and the many friends she had in Sealy and the surrounding areas. She was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Sealy and belonged to the Catholic Daughters. Lorease worked for the Sealy Independent School District for 30 years before retiring. She was always out and about doing things and going places she loved. She always enjoyed walking around her neighborhood each day, working in her yard and garden, and visiting with her friends and family. She especially loved all the holidays when her family got together, especially at Christmas time.  

Lorease leaves behind her forever family, including Frances Stastny, Mary Lou Gajewski, Betty and Victor Gajewski, Nancy and Steve Gajewski, all from Sealy, and Barbara and Clem Gajewski of Rosenberg. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are nephews: Dwayne Gajewski, Darrell Gajewski, Wesley Gajewski, Buddy Gajewski, Jimmy Stastny and Ronald Stastny.

Honorary Pallbearers are her grandchildren: Bryant and Cade Parrett, and Morgan and Justin Gajewski.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 600 Fourth St., Sealy, Texas 77474, at 11 a.m. Visitation will start at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 10:30 a.m.

Rev. Eric Pitre will be celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. The Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Sealy.
