Amy Lieb has been named General Manager of the Sealy News, effective Oct. 1.
She was previously the newspaper’s front office manager and bookkeeper. The announcement comes as a part of Fenice Community Media Group’s management changes related to the recent acquisition of the Katy Times.
Sealy News and Katy Times publisher Karen Lopez will continue to oversee The Sealy News as a part of her duties, while Lieb will manage day-to-day operations.
“Amy has been an integral part of the success we’ve had in Sealy in recent years,” Fenice President Scott Coleman said. “Her knowledge and experience make her an ideal choice to lead daily operations at The Sealy News.”
Lieb is a graduate of Cypress Ridge High School in Houston and went to Lone Star College. Lieb moved to Sealy in 2017 and she began working at The Sealy News shortly thereafter. She and her husband, Ben, have two sons and one on the way.
“I am very excited to be stepping into this new role,” Lieb said. “Karen has been such a great mentor and with her leadership, I feel like this will be an easy transition with great reward for all.”
Fenice Community Media publishes four community weekly newspapers, two suburban weekly newspapers, seven web sites and a host of other print and digital publications across Texas.
