John Daniel Deason, also known as Dan Deason by many, born Aug. 19, 1988, passed away on Oct. 3, 2016 in Sealy, Texas. He served in the United States Army from 2006-2010, served in Iraq in 2007 to 2008, he was a volunteer firefighter with Sealy Volunteer Fire Department for some time. He attended Universal Technical Institute in Houston, where he was working toward a degree in Diesel Mechanics. He was an avid skateboarder, and he loved to play the guitar. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Louis Blankenship of California; Ruby and John Deason, of Texas; his parents, Wanda Sue and Johnny Dale Deason, of Sealy, Texas; and his sister Rhonda Betts, of Longview, Texas. He is survived by his sister Bethany Michelle Smith and her husband, Eric Smith, of Bellville, Texas; his nephew Tristan Elisha-Lee Deason, of Bellville, Texas; as well as numerous extended family in Texas, California, and Oregon.
