Henrietta Bolten Janecek
Henrietta Bolten Janecek was born on April 24th, 1921 to Charles and Malinda Bolten in the Peters Community. She passed away on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016 in Katy at the age of 95.
Henrietta enjoyed cooking, canning vegetables, gardening, and making crafts, quilts, embroidering, and Christmas decorations. She also loved watching her Houston Astros and Texans. She took pride in her yard and love to decorate her home and yard for the holidays. She loved to go to bingo and was very active up until two weeks ago, embroidering cup towels as Christmas gifts for her family and friends. She was also a life-long member of The First Presbyterian Church of Sealy.
Henrietta married the late Walter Janecek on September 14th, 1940. She is survived by her two daughters, Nettie J. Meredith Willoughby and Ardis J. Boone; four grandchildren, Billy Meredith and wife Kelly of Cat Spring, Dawn Moore and husband Chuck of Sheridan, Bonnie Meredith Lentz and husband Tom of Columbus, Keith Boone and Corrie Marquardt of Sealy, and step-granddaughter Pam Griffin and husband Robert of Fort Worth; five great-grandchildren, Steven Moore and Val Moore of Cedar Park, Ryan Moore of Seguin, Brittany Moore of Sheridan, Steven Meredith of Sealy, and Michael Meredith of Sealy; six great-great-grandchildren, Kieran, Kaia, Arya, Stormie, Taylor and Skylar. And numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Jack Bolten of Sealy.
In addition to her husband Walter, she was predeceased by one infant granddaughter, Wanda Gayle Boone; sisters Alma Schroeder, Willie Mae Viereck, Mable Hering; and one brother, Deroy Bolten.
