Haroldmae “Mae” Wishkoski Kaminski


Haroldmae “Mae” Wishkoski Kaminski went home to the Lord and to be with the love of her life on Dec. 31, 2017, at the age 83.

Mae was born in Stoneham, Texas on Sept. 12, 1934 to Stash and Frances Bohack Wishkoski. She was one of 14 children. On May 9, 1953 Mae married Leonard Kaminski at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Anderson, Texas.

Mae was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy, Texas. Mae & Leonard met at a dance hall in Old Washington, Texas, and continued their love of dancing at various dance halls in Texas. This love for dancing was passed on to their daughters.

Mae was lovingly known by her grandchildren as Maw and her great grandchildren as Busia and was an avid fisherman (woman). You could either find her at the coast or any fishing hole within a 100-mile radius. At any given time on the weekends you could go to Mae’s home and her radio would be playing Polish music and Czech Polka and Waltzes while she would cook awesome meals for her family. She was known for her great tasting Lemon Pies and her Cranberry Bread that she made for her grandsons every Christmas. Mae would also make sure she made each of her grandchildren their favorite pie for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Leonard Kaminski, her parents Stash and Frances Wishkoski. Brothers: Rubin Wishkoski (Theresa), Jacob, Chester and Clifford Wishkoski. Sisters: Mary Mazyn (Ted), Earnice Mazyn (Victor) Brother-in-Laws: Marion Novakoski, Lawrence McDaniel and Ike Nowak. Sister-in-Law: Florence Faterowski (Frank) and Darlene Kaminski

Mae is survived by daughters: Marie and Ben Stastny and Sharon Kaminski and Bobby Sharp; grandchildren: Courtney and Jason Williamson, Cole and Katie Stastny, Aaron and Jordan Kubicek and Shelby and Quint Mantey; great-grandchildren: Kendalyn Williamson, Brayden, Corbin & Mason Stastny. Sisters: Theresa Keelin, Margaret Novakoski, Louise McDaniel and Lillian Wishkoski; brothers: George Wishkoski (Janie), Andrew Wishkoski (Frances) and Harold Wishkoski (Carol), brother-in-law: Emilian Kaminski, Sisters-In-Law: Martha Wishkoski, Margaret Wishkoski,Bernadine Wishkoski and Angeline Nowak. Mae is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held on Jan. 5, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy with Rev. Tim Bucek celebrating the Funeral Mass and rite of committal. Interment was at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Chappel Hill, Texas.
