Goebel waits in the wings for FA


Savannah Goebel, a sixth grader at Faith Academy, is the next up-and-coming cross country "star" for the school.

She competed at the Rosehill Christian School meet which was at Spring Creek Park in Tomball on Saturday, Sept. 7.

Goebel ran against 70 runners, crossing the finish line in fifth place and ran the mile and a half course with the time of 11:21. Goebel is a naturally gifted athlete in this sport.

Summer Bright, an eighth grader, came in 44th out of 116 runners and Dyllan Olivares, a fifth grader, placed 82th out of 136 runners.

In the high school division, there were 48 runners on the two-mile course. Joshua Bright (freshman) was 24th, Landen Bright (junior) 29th, and Taylor Hetzel (junior) 42nd.
