Friends of Sealy American Legion offer thanks

Dear editor,

This past Lenten season, the Friends of Sealy American Legion Post 442 hosted Fish Fries as fundraisers to further their endeavors in charitable donations and physical improvements around the American Legion Hall.

The fish fries could not have been pulled off without the help and volunteer efforts of Sealy BSA Troop 548 scouts and parents!

As an expression of gratitude for their untiring efforts, above and beyond, the Friends of American Legion presented gift cards to scouts: Brayton Beam, Tyler Burgess and Pete Ribardo, as well as to parents Katherine Demel, Jim & Kathy Burgess and Scoutmaster Charlie Ribardo. In addition to the individual donations, a $1,000 donation was made to Troop 548 to help defray summer camp expenses.

Also, the Friends of American Legion want to recognize Aggie Konvicka of the newly formed Girl Troop 1701 for her commitment and volunteerism to the fish fries as well!!

Last, but CERTAINLY not least, a GIGANTIC, heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to you, the community, for your support of our fish fries, BBQ Chicken drive thru dinners, Wings drive thru dinners, and other fundraisers undertaken by the Friends of American Legion. Without you, none of this is possible. THANKS!!!
