Faith Academy students gather for prayer

The Faith Academy Student Council sponsored “See You at the Pole” on Sept. 26.

The council members – seniors Jeff Perry, Lacy Phillips, Juniors Nathan Taake, Regan Woodley, Jolie Wass, Sophomores Tanner David , Landen Bright, Emily McKinney, Tyler Johnston, Joshua Poorman and freshman Caden Swierkowski – gathered with students, family and community leaders around the flag pole at the Beth Keaton Gymnasium. The students led as prayers were lifted up for our nation, community and school. After the time of prayer, Lacy Phillips and Regan Woodley along with Eric Carlin, led in a time of praise and worship. The Student Council provided refreshments for the crowd of close to 100.

Faith Academy would like to thank all those who came out in support of our students.

Faith Academy extends a special thank you to Angela Wolfe, youth leader at Life Bridge Community Church in Sealy. She also brought wrist bands that were specifically made for SYATP.

See You at the Pole, is the global day of student prayer, which began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Twenty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.
