The Faith Academy cross country season officially got underway last Saturday in Houston at the Incarnate Word Academy Meet.
"The very challenging, two-mile course was run at the Willow Waterhole Park," said the Knights' head coach Ann Howarth. "The runners were challenged with gradual and steep hills."
The boys' competition featured 123 runners from 16 teams and the lone freshman on this year's Faith Academy squad led the way.
Joshua Bright finished 75th overall and had junior Eric Carlin (78th) right on his heels. Junior classmate Landon Bright was the next Knight finisher in 95th overall and Taylor Hetzel registered a 102nd-place finish.
Faith will head to The Woodlands for its next meet, the "Friday Night Lights" Meet.
