Author Stephen Harrigan to speak at San Felipe museum

The Friends of the San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site is hosting author Stephen Harrigan, whose recent book, Big Wonderful Thing, is a comprehensive look at the expansive history of Texas.

He will present a program on Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Old 300 Learning Hall at San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site. General admission seating begins at 6 p.m.; the program starts at 7 p.m., followed by a book signing at 8 p.m.

Harrigan will reflect on his work through a conversational interview led by Houston Chronicle columnist Joe Holley. Seats for this one-of-a-kind Texas history evening are limited and must be reserved in advance, with proceeds benefiting the Friends in their support of the historic site.
