Sheriff Brandes wins re-election

Sheriff Jack Brandes handily won re-election over challenger Ronnie Griffin 4,004 to 843 in the Austin County Republican Primary Tuesday and will serve another four years as there is no Democratic challenger this fall. According to the county elections office 30.4% of eligible voters cast ballots in the election.
