Arlin Earnest Krejci, 81, of Sealy, Texas, passed away at Colonial Belle Nursing Home in Bellville, Texas on Thursday, June 30, 2016.

He was born on October 7, 1934 in Shiner, Texas, the fifth son of Charles and Mary Krejci. He grew up and attended school in Shiner, Texas and helped with the family cotton farm. He joined the 3rd Armored Division, Company C 33rd Tank Division of the U.S. Army in 1955. He married Daisy M. Cook on April 17, 1966 and established a home in Katy, Texas. Arlin was blessed with two daughters, a very successful barbering business and many friends. The family moved to Sealy, Texas in 1978, at which time, the family joined Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where Arlin was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Arlin was self-employed as a barber in the Katy area for over five decades. He enjoyed listening to polka music, dancing and bouncing to the rhythms of the music; fishing; watching sports on TV; and gardening, especially sharing harvests of peaches, pears, persimmons, etc. with his neighbors. He truly enjoyed joking around and playing pranks on his friends and family and had the reputation as quite the prankster.

Arlin is survived by his wife: Daisy Krejci of Sealy; daughters: Melissa Mamone and husband, Lee Mamone of Katy, Monica Krejci of Houston; brother: Charles Krejci and wife, Mary, of Pasadena; sister-in-law: Laurene Krejci of Houston; and grandchildren: Airman Recruit Kavin Krejci of Houston, and Katelyn Mamone of Katy.

Preceding him in death by were his parents: Charles and Mary Krejci; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Harvey Krejci and wife, Marie; Edward Krejci and wife, Janette; and Milton Krejci.
