The Sealy Lady Tigers are heading to the Class 4A basketball playoffs after finishing off their season with a nice 50-41 victory over Brookshire Royal in the district finale. “We went into overtime to get a nice win over Royal and that was good for the team,” said Sealy Head Girls Basketball Coach Brateicka Mock.

Another hard-fought battle against the district’s top brass ended in heartbreak for Sealy Feb. 8, losing 2-1 to Navasota at home.

There seems to be no stopping the Sealy girls this season as they continue dismantling district opposition, battering Navasota 5-1 at home, Feb. 9.

The Sealy girls’ powerlifting team brought home the first-place plaque at the Brenham meet Jan. 29.

The Sealy Tigers will want to forget about the string of recent results over the past week, losing to two of their biggest rivals over the span of three days. Sealy faced off against Bellville last Wednesday night, Jan.

What better feeling is there than winning? Winning against your biggest rivals, and big time. The Lady Tigers marked their eighth and ninth straight wins of the season last week with two marvelous district displays, a 3-0 shutout of the Brahmas on their own turf at Bulldog Stadium, and a 5-1 away thrashing of Royal at Falcon Stadium in Brookshire.

The Faith Academy varsity Knights were in action twice this last week going 1-1. The Knights beat Still Creek Christian on Tuesday by a score 45-34.

The Sealy Lady Tigers open their 2024 season with a nice 9-2 victory over Caldwell. Sealy scored two runs in the second inning to take a quick 2-0 lead.

The Sealy Junior High girls’ basketball teams finished up their season last week with the final round of playoffs. The 7th grade A team are the undefeated district champions.
