Faith falls short to Centex 62-44

The Faith Academy Knights hosted their last regular season game as they welcomed the Centex Chargers to SAB Staduim Friday night. A few early mistakes ended up costing the Knights; mistakes that they couldn’t battle back from falling short 62-44. The Knights were led by sophomore Travis Woodley, as he continued his impressive play, battling through a season-long leg injury. He accumulated over 250 total yards and three TDs bringing his season total to 26.

Faith Academy’s Friday night Homecoming Court halftime presentation included Freshmen Princess Jayla Jean Jackson, Sophomore Princess Ja’Kasia Nacole Ragston, Junior Princess Anna Kristin Alma Froehlich, and Senior Queen Candidates Aryana Castillo, Madison Nicole Yuki Halverson, Chesney Grace Addilyn Johnston, Rachel Anna-Clare Kuespert and Ella Nanette Polston. Addie Kuespert, 2021 Queen, returned to her roots from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor to crown the new 2022-2023 Queen, Chesney Johnston.

Brazos looks to inch closer to playoff berth

Brazos has its football playoff destiny right in its own hands and that is exactly where they wanted it to be. “If we take care of business like we should, then we should be in the playoffs,” said Brazos Head Football Coach Ryan Roecker. “We can’t focus on how anything shakes out for the other teams as long as we take care of what we have to do. If we do what we need to do, then we will be standing where we want to be when the dust settles.”
