The Legend of Donald Pfarr Wible, age 77, passed away peacefully on September 5, this year of our Lord 2022, at his fishing retreat in Sargent, Texas. He was surrounded by his family and the laughter of his grandchildren and could not have asked for a better last day on God’s divine creation.

Erwin Wilke, 86, passed away on September 20, 2022, after a 2-month battle with cancer. He was born on January 13, 1936, in Welcome Texas and lived in New Ulm before moving to Wallis at a young age. He was a 1954 graduate of Wallis High School where he starred in all sports including 6-man football. He was united in marriage with his high school sweetheart, Evelyn Sliva, on March 19,1955, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis.

VIRGINIA GARZA LOPEZ

Virginia Garza Lopez, 86, of Houston, passed away Sept. 19, 2022, at home surrounded by her children. Virginia was born May 2, 1936, in Rockdale, to parents Candelario and Eloise Garza. She was quite fierce on a slot machine and an avid Elvis fan. She said she was able to see him in concert in her younger years and was not bashful in the fact that she was one of the screamers. She loved everyone unconditionally and gave to those in need. Her kindness was inspiring. Virginia’s heart was full of joy for her family, whom she loved so dearly. God blessed us when he brought this woman into our lives. We will tell her stories and remind others of the strength she possessed throughout her life.

Edwin Jesse Zubicek was born April 16, 1935, to Sam and Bertha Zubicek. A life-long resident of Cat Spring, Edwin was known and loved by many. On February 14, 1981, he married Sharon Gardner and lovingly became a father to Marcy & Brian Gardner.

Brenda Joyce Allison Alexander passed away on August 21, 2022 at the age of 75 in Katy, Texas. She was born September 14, 1947 to parents Virginia Green Allison and Duncan Allison. Her hometown was Muncie, Indiana. She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1965 then studied at Ball State University and the University of Texas, graduating with a Bachelor of Science of Nursing (BSRN).

June Bumstead Delanda went to be with her Lord on August 31, 2022. She was 77 years old. She is preceded in death by her father Barney, her mother Theda, and her brother Jody. She is survived by her daughter Leslie Espinoza and fiancé Houston Mathews, daughter Dana Meloneck and her husband Mark Meloneck, daughter Azalee Delanda and her husband Michael Gonsalves, daughter Amelia Delanda, grandson Colten Meloneck and fiancé Brenda Marin, granddaughter Gabriella Espinoza and fiancé Brett Karakos, granddaughter Indie Espinoza and fiancé Tyler Bunn, grandson Jose Espinoza, grandson Leo Sanchez, granddaughter Elena Sanchez, grandson Luke Sanchez, granddaughter Brooke Gonsalves, great granddaughter Natalya Espinoza, and great granddaughter Gia Karakos.

EDITH K. FIEDLER

Our dear mother, Edith Jeannette Kleypas Fiedler, age 93, was a loving wife, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and friend. She slipped away peacefully at home on August 9, 2022. She will be laid to rest on August 15, the very same date that her own dear mother was interred 30 years ago. Edith was born September 28, 1928, in Burlington, Texas to Bernard Gerard Kleypas and Nettie Marie West Kleypas. She married her beloved husband Raymond Charles Fiedler, on a cold Thanksgiving morning, November 25, 1948, which resulted in 56 years of a harmonious marriage and seven devoted children.

CHARLEY JOSEPH BURCHFIELD

Charley Joseph Burchfield, 80, of Sealy, TX, was called home to be with our Lord on August 24, 2022. He was born in Palestine, TX on February 1, 1942, to Burdon Eugene Burchfield and Eunice Mae Griffin. After high school, Charley enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for twenty years working in munitions and communications. While he was stationed in Watertown, NY, he met the love of his life, Helen Cecelia Torrey, and they wed in 1964. They have four children: Rebecca, Jeffery, Joanne and Rachel.
