McCaul joins Texas delegation to prevent ‘Remain in Texas’ policy

This week, U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (Texas-10) joined Representatives Ronny Jackson (Texas-13) and August Pfluger (Texas-11) in introducing legislation to prohibit a “Remain in Texas” policy for immigrants who cross the border illegally. The Biden administration is reportedly considering such a policy, which would require some immigrants to remain in Texas while awaiting asylum eligibility determinations. All House Republican members of the Texas delegation cosponsored the bill.
