Sara Anne Cerny and Matthew Thomas Wit were joined in marriage on June 30, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy

Cerny, daughter of Melvin and Brenda Cerny of Sealy and granddaughter of Anton and Georgie Cerny of Sealy and George and Tillie Gallia of El Campo, was given away by her parents and was escorted by her father.

Cerny graduated as valedictorian from Sealy High School in 2007, graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M in accounting with a bachelors and masters degree in 2012 and will work for Ernst and Young in Austin starting in September 2012.

Wit is the son of John and Elizabeth Wit of Round Rock and the grandson of Mary Gorman of La Grangeville, NY and the late Mary Wit, John Wit and Thomas Gorman.

He graduated from Stony Point High School in Round Rock, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas in San Antonio with a bachelors in architecture in 2011 and currently works for Neu Security Services in Austin.

The bride wore an ivory lace gown with cap-sleeves, sweetheart neckline, keyhole back and heavily beaded sash around the waist. The trumpet skirt fell into a circular chapel train. To complement the gown, the bride wore a two-tiered cathedral veil with hand-detailed lace appliqués along the edge of the bottom tier.

Maids of honor were Amy Norris of Sealy and Sarah Holub of Sealy. Bridesmaids were Rose Cerny of Carrollton, Erin Wit of Round Rock, Amanda Coggins of Sealy, Patricia Jaloway of Sealy, Lauren Gallia of Cypress, Samantha Cerny of Sealy and Katie Robertson of La Grangeville, NY.

Flower girl was Katelyn Bilski of Pearland. Ring bearer was Derek Mermsann of Van.

Best men were Andrew Wit of Tokyo, Japan and Randy Alfano of Pflugerville.

Groomsmen were Christopher Cerny of Carrollton, Jonathan Cerny of Sugar Land, Renato de Paula of Sugar Land, John Robertson of La Grangeville, NY, Trevor Landers of Pflugerville and Will Cerny of Sealy.

Pianist was Chris Nava. Soloist/cantor was Emily Bogenschutz. Lectors were Tori Junco and Kacee Junco. Program attendants were Hailey Svoboda, Blake Svoboda, Ellery Bilski and Ashley Billnoske.

House party members included Lauren Svoboda, Nicole Billnoske, Meagan Billnoske, Lisa Junco, Tori Junco and Kacee Junco. Presentation of gifts was by Anthony Gallia and Chloe McIntosh.

A reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Sealy, following the ceremony. Music was by Nightshift with a grand march led by Joe and Carolyn Bilski.

The couple took a Caribbean honeymoon cruise with ports in Montego Bay, Jamaica, George Town, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico.

They now reside in Austin.
